Jean A. (Reagan) Grammont
HAVERHILL: Jean A. (Reagan) Grammont, 84, passed away on February 27, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley. She was the wife of the late George H. Grammont.
Born in Groveland on April 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Pernell R. (Brown) Reagan.
Jean was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1950.
Jean worked as a bench worker at Western Electric before joining Microwave Engineering where she worked as a lathe operator for fourteen years before retiring in 1994. Jean was an active member of Riverside Memorial Church where she was a member of the choir, and was a member and past secretary of the Haverhill Grange. Jean and her family acquired many fond memories while vacationing at their summer home in Rumney, NH.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Lynn M. Grammont of Haverhill, Kathleen L. Young and husband Stephen of Goffstown, NH; sons, Michael S. Grammont and wife Edie of Nottingham, NH; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, John T. Reagan, Jr. and wife Janie of Fort Pierce, FL.; sister-in-law, Janet Reagan of East Kingston, NH. Jean is survived by Kelley Grammont, her caregiver and loving daughter-in-law. Jean was the mother of the late Scott Grammont and Jeffrey Grammont.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, March 6th at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 8:00 p.m. Interment at Linwood Cemetery will be private.
