Robert C. Dill
ATKINSON, NH: Robert C. Dill, 80, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at his home on May 23, 2014. He was the husband of the late Joan (Turner) Dill.
Born in North Andover on March 1, 1934, Robert was the son of the late Edwin W. and Philomena (Baker) Dill.
Bob was educated in North Andover and then began a long and successful career in construction. He worked as a carpenter for Charles Foster of North Andover, and worked as a clerk of works for construction projects in the state of Maineas well as Haverhill where he became the city's Building Inspector until he retired. He was devoted to his family and shared in all his grandchildren's special events and accomplishments with great pride. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golf with friends, hunting and fishing with his son, and working in his garden. He was a member of Mass Building Commissioners & Inspectors Assoc. and Boca International.
Bob is survived by his son, Jeffrey Dill and his wife Marianne of Atkinson; daughter, Deborah Dill and her partner Salvatore Carrara of Stamford, CT; grandchildren, Michael Dill, Jennifer Dill and Nicole Dill; sister, Mildred Davidson of North Andover and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to the calling hours on Monday, May 26th , from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. The funeral service and interment at Elmwood Cemetery will be private.
